I\u00a0<\/em><em>will update it every time I post till it is finished.: <a href=\"https:\/\/ashleybeanthornton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/How-is-ABT-Voting-on-the-Proposed-TX-Constitutional-Amendments-Summary-final-corrected.pdf\">Propositions and How ABT is voting<\/a>.<\/em> <\/i><em>Thank you! \u2013 ABT)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<h4><br \/>How I Plan to vote and why:<\/h4>\n<p>I will be voting <strong>NO<\/strong> on props 15 and 16 because I think we should take governing our state seriously instead of playing dumb political games.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>Here is how this particular game is played: \u00a0<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>We know that parents are already the primary decision makers for their children according to Texas Family Code \u00a7 151.001.\u00a0 But, we will propose an amendment (Prop 15) saying \u201cparents should be the primary decision makers for their children.\u201d\u00a0 That way when you vote against it &#8211; because it is dumb and unnecessary &#8211; we get to tell everyone that you \u201cvoted against parents&#8217; rights.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>We know that Texas Election Code already says, \u201cTo be eligible to vote in an election in this state, a person must be a United States citizen.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 But, we will propose an amendment (prop 16) saying that only citizens should be allowed to vote.\u00a0 That way when you vote against it -because it is dumb and unnecessary &#8211; we get to tell everyone that you \u201cwant illegals to be able to vote.\u201d<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>You know what I think is even more dumb and unnecessary than these two dumb propositions?\u00a0 Playing these dumb political games.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>Even if I didn\u2019t care one bit about the other 15 amendments, it would be worth it to me to come out and vote in this election just to be able to vote <strong>against<\/strong> these two DUMB propositions.\u00a0 <br \/><br \/>Let\u2019s use our political processes to build the Texas we want to live in \u2013 not to play dumb political \u201cgotcha\u201d games.
